STEP 1

CALL YOUR ADJUSTER

It is important to call your adjuster soon after your car accident and let them know you are hurt….if you don’t tell them right away, they may try to say your injuries were not from the car accident.  They will likely assign a second adjuster to handle your injuries and they may ask you to fill out a form called the “application for PIP benefits” or something similar.

STEP 2

CONTACT US

For car accidents: fill our our no-fault claim information form and we will contact your adjuster to verify your claim.

For Work Comp: have your doctor send us an approved treatment plan naming the Big Island Massage Network as your massage provider. Once we receive this you can book your massages.

STEP 3

GET A PRESCRIPTION

Go see a doctor and ask them if massage would be helpful for your specific injuries.  If your primary doctor cannot get you in quickly then it may be best to go to an urgent care clinic or the ER. Most insurance companies require you to be seen by a doctor with MD or DO credentials, so make sure one is on staff that day before you go to urgent care. It may be helpful to bring a copy of our prescription form for the doctor to fill out. Try to leave the office with prescription in hand so you can make sure it gets to us in a timely manner.

STEP 4

BOOK YOUR MASSAGES!

You may choose from any of the massage therapists in our network.  Massage preference is highly individual so you can try different therapists until you find the perfect one for you!
